DIGITAL TERMINALS VILLE DE MONTRÉAL

Project: Digital kiosks City of Montreal

This summer, we had the pleasure of working in collaboration with the Solotech firm for the realization of digital kiosks installed in 6 different sites in Ville St-Laurent at the following locations: Place Rodolphe-Rousseau, Centre des loisirs, Complexe sportif, Bois-Francs, Bibliothèque du Vieux Saint-Laurent and Parc Beaudet.

Its main features :

  • Exceptional visibility

    • Intelligent brightness control: automatic brightness sensor and preset timer save energy whenever possible
    • Advanced localized dimming: backlighting in specific areas of the screen can be controlled to increase contrast and provide a brighter image with twice the detail.
    • Quarter-Wave Plate (QWP): Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology is integrated into a QWP, allowing clear visibility even when the viewer is wearing polarized sunglasses.

  • Advanced IPS technology

    • Wide viewing angle: IPS technology creates a wide viewing angle, showing the same crisp, clear image at any angle within 178 degrees of top, bottom, right and left.
    • No darkening effects: even when exposed to direct sunlight, the 75XE3C screen resists darkening defects up to 230°F / 110°C.
    • Anti-reflective: less interference between external light reflection and backlighting thanks to anti-reflective coating.

  • Product reliability

    • Protection against dust and humidity Designed with an IP56 protection rating: the conformal coating enhances reliability by protecting the display from dust, iron shavings, humidity and other harsh conditions.
    • High- and low-temperature protection: the panel offers reliable operation over a wide temperature range, from -22°F to 130°F, protecting against component freezing and cooling fan overload.
    • Enhanced thermal management: the environmentally sealed outer structure provides waterproofing and protection against the elements and other environmental contaminants such as brake dust and car exhaust fumes.
    • 9.5 mm protective glass: Designed with durability in mind to protect the panel against impact and vandalism, the protective glass also includes an OCA* film to protect against heat in direct sunlight.

  • Cost-effective Low energy consumption with the M+ panel:

    • The M+ panel offers excellent energy efficiency and cost savings, reducing energy consumption by around 31% compared with conventional RGB panels.

  • Easy management Web monitoring :

    • integrated Web monitoring for easy remote management, diagnostics and real-time measurement of elements such as temperature and ambient light.
    • Optional bracket: The optional bracket allows the panel to stand freely and enables easy cable management. The XE3C series can also be mounted in landscape or portrait mode, facilitating a variety of use cases.
